359) ... it was nice and cheap...
I also recommend the massage couch... I made extensive use of it. 358) Located in safe neighborhood
in downtown Utah. The hostel (guesthouse) is walking distance to grocery
store, drug store etc... Easy to park. Reasonable rates. 357) This hostel (guesthouse) is
a good location in terms of using the TRAX lightrail to get around...
It's not the typical hostel (guesthouse); if you're looking to meet people
there's a small common room, but this hostel (guesthouse) is mostly about
privacy, which I wanted. Basic, humble furnishings. About six rooms, two
bathrooms, kitchen, laundry in a house... I stayed here in a single room
just until my train arrived during the late night. It got the job done. 356) It's an amazing experience,
even though it's my first time of staying in a hostel (guesthouse) in
USA. The location is just in the downtown of the city, You can walk to
the sightseeing spots. Everything is just handy. 355) Really great place to stay
in Salt Lake City. Probably one of the cleanest hostels I've ever stayed.
Very secure in the house, you need to have special codes to get in the
house and in your room. 354) Loved it. Everything was so
well manged and clean, I was so grateful as a solo woman traveler. 353) The hostel was clean, tidy
and had all the comforts of home. The location was excellent. You could
see and walk to the city center and a bus stop was directly in front of
the house. There's an excellent grocery store with a large produce department
within view of the front porch. The room was nice - clean, large and warm
with lots of storage space. I would definitely stay here again. 352) Was very close to TRAX Station
easily accessing the mountains with public transportation. And really
close to downtown attractions including some really cool places to eat.
Place was pretty much a ghost town while i stayed there. Didn't see anyone
at all and had my room all to myself. Which was awesome. Great place to
stay and very clean. 351) Thanks Arthur. The 'mother
in law' apartment in your folks place was a great home base for house
hunting. 350) Had a great stay and would
stay there again!!! 349) ...your website is amazing
with access to information for out of state people!!!!!). 348) The parking lot was a little
dark but it had a good location, clean rooms, and secure building. Not
a social hostel - more of a convenient place to stay with is like a hotel. 347) Great place to stay, as it
is cheap, well maintained and super clean... great deal! 346) Everything was just fine. 345) I thoroughly enjoyed my stay
at Camelot. It's like a funky Peewee's Playhouse... 344) 800 South Guest House far
surpassed my expectations. This hostel (Guest House) is perfect for travellers
like myself that want a comfortable, safe place to stay at night in a
convenient location just a short walk from the city. The facilities are
clean, the staff friendly and the rooms quiet (unlike many hostels!) when
you want to sleep. The 'party' culture of many hostels is replaced by
a relaxed, homely feel due to the small size of the accommodation. I would
strongly recommend staying here. 343) Pretty cool hostel (Guest
House). I'm a young girl who travelled alone so I found the quiet environment
comforting. The self check in and code entry gives you freedom to come
and go as you please. Fairly clean too! All in all a good place to sleep
whilst in Salt Lake City... 342) Is the first time I stayed
in a hostel (Guest House) and it was a great experience. Great value for
my money, great location close to downtown, clean place secure I would
stay there again and I highly recommend JEFERSON GUESTHOUSE in SLC. 341) Was a really nice place. The
check-in is kind of weird, you have to do by yourself. But if there is
something wrong you will have all the help that you need as soon as they
can. The room was clean, the place is safe and is in a good place in Salt
Lake. 340) This is a wonderful place,
definitely worth the money or beyond the money. It's clean and quiet,
safe and organized. Very convenient location, very close to Smiths supermarket
and not far from TRAX station. Staffs are kind and nice. I like here. 339) Clean, quiet and convenient
- suited me perfectly. Friendly guests and staff. 338) Thank you so much for changing
the code so promptly after it was possibly compromised, and being so helpful
and prompt in getting the new code to me. This kind of proactive security
is what helps me feel safe living here. 337) Very nice and cozy place to
stay, close to the downtown, I loved the self-cheking possiblity! 336)
I really enjoyed Camelot. I felt safe, my stuff was safe in the
room and got a good nights sleep every night. I liked that there was always
a bathroom accessible and parking was easy... great place to stay, I will
visit again the next time I'm in SLC. 335) We had a pleasant stay. Thanks
a lot. 334) It was nice and quiet at night...
Thank You. 333) If we were to use stars, we
will give you a 4 star classification from 1 to 5, it's clean, safe and
fun. Camelot hostels (Guest Houses) are comfortable to stay, you can actually
say it's "good to be home". Service was great. People are nice
to you. We will be glad to come back again to the hostel (Guest House)
and Salt Lake City. 332) Thank you for meeting you
all and make my stay so wonderful. Good luck for you all I will talk to
you soon. 331) Everything went well, the
house is great, clean, quiet, nicely equipped and the rooms are very spacious
and clean. The Jefferson is a quieter, more private alternative to a hostel
(Guest House), yet affordable. With the 800 hostel (Guest House) right
next door you still meet and mingle with fellow travellers. The self check-in
system works great and is simple as 123. 330) It's a great value for your
money, place is quiet, clean, close to downtown and freeways, internet
included. You should stay here if you just want a place to sleep without
the hassle of the hotels. Peace. 329) Excellent location within
walking distance to downtown. Self-checking a bit tricky but easy in fact...
once you've mastered the technique! ...Nicely equipped kitchen, pleasant
common room, cleanliness OK... 328) It's an amazing experience
though it's my first time of staying in a hostel (Guest House) in USA.
The location is just in the downtown of city, you can walk to the sightseeing
spot. Everything is just handy 327) Nice hostel (guest house),
staff were nice when I saw them, otherwise just left to my own devices
which suited me. It's pretty convenient for downtown with a TRAX stop
one street over. 326) Great place to stay! Friendly
staff. Whenever I decide to come to Salt Lake, I will definitely look
this one up. Excellent location. Thanks again. 325) I would like to thank you for nice accommodation in your guesthouse. It was really pleasure to stay there. 324) Our private room was extremely comfy, cozy and full of sunshine. The house itself had a really homey feel to it with just enough character (loved the suit of armor downstairs.) Overall, a great, quiet and affordable place to stay! 323) ...we liked to be guests in your hostel. Thanks for all. 322) Was very comfortable!!! It was cozy and I would definitely stay there again!! I got the bang for my buck. Thanks once again! 321) VERY NICE! We had a very good experience here. Clean, secure and convenient! Our business trip was a success, too! Thanks. We'll come again! 320) This is a very good place to stay. I highly recommend it. 319) As a library nerd, I loved the proximity to the Salt Lake City main library. 318) I found this hostel (Guest House) quiet, clean and well located about 30min walk from downtown centre. Adam, the caretaker was friendly and very helpful with suggestions on things to see on foot or bus/tram. 317) Self check-in is really good idea! 316) This is one of the nicest hostels (Guest Houses) I have stayed at so far. It was also pretty cheap, so I have no complaints! Thanks! 315) Thanks for the stay at your place. Very nice accommodations. This is amongst the best of the Hostels (Guest Houses) in which I have stayed, and amongst the most convenient to downtown. 314) Thank you so much for the stay! Everything was great and clean. Thank you. 313) Helpful staff (via phone), plenty of bathrooms. Try the authentic taco stands a block away, or Este Pizza for dinner and a beer. 312) I really enjoyed my stay at your guest house. It was pleasant, safe and comfortable. When I think of Utah and coming again, I will definitely think of this Guest House. Thanks again. 311) I really enjoyed my stay here at Camelot and in Salt Lake City. Camelot was definitely the best I could imagine for resting here for a few days! 310) Booking was relatively easy and finding the location wasn't hard. The check-in procedure wasn't difficult ... The room itself was clean and felt safe and the house overall was quiet... Overall, I enjoyed my stay but some extra tips might help those unfamiliar with hostels (Guest Houses). 309) I am leaving today so I would just like to say that I enjoyed staying in here. The facility is clean. I like it here being quiet. I would rate the hostel (Guest House) 4 our of 5. 308) Thanks a lot. I appreciate your business, especially your self check-in service. I have been here last year. Also this year was everything without problems. Thank you. 307) Everything was just fine. 306) We can warmly recommend this nice hostel... apply ahead of time! 305) I really enjoyed my stay, thank you. I appreciated your check-in process... Everything with the check-in went very smoothly, including using the computer, finding my room, and getting the key for my room, from the safe. I also found the simple and straightforward environment safe, friendly, and clean. Thank you for clean bathroom, kitchen, common space, and private room! 304) Just what I wanted - a clean, no-frills inexpensive place to stay. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for the same. 303) The staff are nice and helpful to find a restaurant and with the bikes. 303) Thanks Arthur, I have really been enjoying my stay and like the room and home especially well. C level is a great place to work and I have got a lot done here... 302) I stayed here for one night in room A1, which is one of the basement rooms. The price was pretty cheap (25$) for a private room with shared bathroom and kitchen... The ground level... looks pretty nice and bright. The booking is easily done online... The hostel's cleanliness is average. There is a kitchen on the ground level and in the basement (I didn't check out the upper levels) as well as the showers. I talked to Kenny and sent text messages to Arthur and they seemed nice and attentive. The location is good, as it is not too far away from the city train (RAX) and downtown is within walking distance... A big super market is only a 5 min walk away... Overall a nice guesthouse with cheap rooms... 301) Your place is nice. 300) An quirky Victorian style 4-level house, older building but very clean bathrooms and kitchens. Fellow guests were seasoned travelers, brainy grad students, and business people ages 21-65 (no creeps or shady types during my 5-day visit). Automated check-in was a novel, but e-mail walks you through all steps clearly. Manager (via phone) answered my other questions. Best nearby coffee houses: Coffee Garden on 9th and 9th, and Salt Lake Roasting Co and 320 East 400 South. 299) The hostel (Guest House) satisfied my requirements... The location was great. 298) I totally recommend the camelot rooms for rent to anyone traveling to Salt Lake City. The place is absolutely immaculate and there is everything you need; telephone, internet, games, TV, washer, dryer, cooking utensils! Everything you need and all free to use! Arthur is a really great guy who will help you with what ever you need to know or can recommend someone who will. Wish I could stay here longer! 297) The Camelot had many great amenities. I liked the freedom the hosts gave me as it was a self check-in and out system. All one has to do is follow all explicit directions for laundry, and the checking-in and out procedures. I had a great stay... I was very happy with my stay! 296) You can check-in anytime. That is very nice. 295) This is one of the best kept hostels (guest houses) I have ever stayed in... it's perfect. It's location is excellent, close to downtown, and easy to find. 294) I liked the ease and convenience of the unique "DIY" check-in and "invisible" personnel (who were always reachable by phone when needed). It felt more like a private apartment rather than a hotel. I will definitely stay here again when in town. 293) The self check in... is OK really. As long as you follow the rules that are stuck up on the wall, then you'll be fine. The room I stayed in was clean and air conditioned. Quite a nice place and well located. 292) Overall this is a wonderful place to stay... great overall. This was my very first experience doing something like this and I would love to do it again! 291) If you are someone who likes order, then I think you will really like the Camelot Guest House USA. I really liked the Camelot because I enjoy order... I would recommend the Camelot because it was nicely operated. 290) Very good, cozy and clean, nice location. It's been a very pleasant stay. I had a very nice stay, staff really helpful, and the room was spacious and comfy and the premises very nice. Downtown is at walking distance. 289) I was pleased with my accommodations. Thank you for the place to stay. 288) Thank you Mr Arthur, see you soon!!!! Thank You Salt Lake City!!!! 287) It's been really nice staying here. Clean and quiet. I will come again and recommend you to my friends. The people upstairs are great. Thanks. 286) I stayed at your 800 south guest house in Nov 2008. Quite nice and just what I needed. Thanks! 285) Clean and well organized hostel (guest house). 284) Wow, wow- What Can I say. Even though my stay was a first in a Hostel (Guest House). This was an experience I will carry in my heart forever. The staff was excellent! Adam deserves a raise! What attention to detail. I felt very welcome. Clean room, cleaner kitchen, modest surroundings, but with enough decor to make me as if I was in a loving home. Come and stay in Camelot House and perhaps you will enjoy the magic that I felt from not just this house and the staff, but the new friends I met during my stay. 283) Good place to stay, would certainly use it again. 282) ... Would come another time staying in SLC, I think that´s a good rating. Thanks. 281) A nice relaxing and very clean place to stay. Free internet and TV in room. Only a 15 minute walk into town. Would be more than happy to stay here again. 280) This hostel (guest house) was totally convenient. Everything about it was accessible. It was easy to find, easy to check in, safe, and comfortable. I would recommend it to everyone! 279) I really enjoyed my stay and would do it again...The bed was freshly made, and the rest of the house was very well taken care of... 278) I would like to say that your guest house is real success; I mean, since my arrival in Salt Lake City, I really enjoy to come back at night at the guest house : the people are nice, the bathroom clean, and everything is very well thinked... The room is nice and luminous, as I asked. 277) Located in safe neighborhood in downtown Utah. The hostel (guest house) is walking distance to grocery store, drug store etc... Easy to park. Reasonable rates. 276) Kudos and Good Luck. I have really enjoyed my stay at Camelot. I wanted to let you know that I was happily surprised at how well your guesthouse is set-up and how well it works. At first, I thought there were many rules posted on the walls at Camelot, but soon realized that these practical rules help make it all work well, as there are a variety of people from vastly different backgrounds passing through. My room was cozy, everything in working order, the windows locked, and the bathroom was clean and neat. I appreciated any and all security measures and the helpful staff I met here... Anyway, just wanted you to know that I appreciate the fact that you have clearly taken such care and planning to make the shared household work, and to make it enjoyable for the budget and long term traveler! 275) I spent 3 nights at the Camelot Guest House 274) It was very nice to stay there. Safe and at reasonable price. I'll be back. Thanks for answering every question. 273) Same room and bed that I have now... Thanks guys, it's starting to feel a little like home. 272) Thank you for your services. It has been a nice stay. 271) I enjoyed my stay. Thank you! 270) It's a really cool house in a pretty good location to downtown and public transportation... their security features and online sign on is a great idea!... I would recommend this place... 269) I have enjoyed my stay at Jefferson and this is due to the friendliness of the owner and the clean and tidy room of which I am staying in. The place is very safe with good lighting and security and the owner is very cordial and amenable in answering any questions or concerns that might occur. 268) I got in at 1am and there were just a couple people talking in the common area. I did the simple self check in to find the room and key code to my room, got in my room and went to bed! Simple place for cheap. I enjoyed the night here and a shower in the morning... I would likely stay here again but I'm moving here so I probably won't get a chance. 267) Excellent hostel (guest house)! I must say that staying there was a great experience. The kitchen is clean and had everything I needed, as are the bathrooms too, and the bedroom is really good. I felt really safe there, thanks to the pass code scheme (both for entering the house and the bedroom). The location is good too -- right next to the tram station, and about fifteen minutes from downtown on foot. I recommend! 266) ...Got the help I need though showing up in the middle of the night. The entrance is on the BACK of the house. 265) I like to stay here because , I feel like home and people around me are friendly, place is more artistic, old but with soul. 264) You ... have a lot of privacy. I had a room for myself and I liked it! It was very clean :-). 263) I was the first occupant and the hostel (guest house) was still a work in progress when I arrived, but the owners have been working hard to flush things out over the course of my stay and it has significantly improved. The location is great for commuting to all of the ski areas. 262) I enjoyed my stay, my room was nice and it had everything I needed...the price is so reasonable and it all worked well... 261) The best feature of Camelot is its location. Close to shops, food, the TRAX system and thus convenient to access everything in Salt Lake! Internet is great as is every other described features. A good place to call home for a few days. I would go back for sure. 260) Great first hostel (guest house) experience. First time I've stayed in a hostel (guest house) and chose this one because of the good reviews. I booked it the night before and didn't get the email containing the check-in info before I showed up. Made a quick phone call and got the information I needed promptly to get in and self check in on the computer. Very clean and instantly met some real nice guests. I felt much more at home than in a motel. Slept very well. 259) Le Camelot á Salt Lake City reste un endroit idéal pour le repos et la méditation. Comme cammionniste c'est avec empressement que j'y revient toujours. 258) This guesthouse has lots of character and beauty. I enjoyed my stay there. It was homey and the other guests were quite nice as well. Arthur was very helpful and accommodating. I would recommend this place to my friends. 257) A safe location which is quiet and at the same time close to fun activities. The rooms / restrooms / kitchens are well equipped and clean. The management was very accessible and helpful too. 256) Great place. Good downtown location. 255) Of all the hostels I have stayed at I would rate the Camelot Rooms for Rent as the best I have stayed at so far. Not only is the price and the location excellent it is also very clean and the staff is very friendly. It is all world class! 254) Was very comfortable!!! It was cozy and I would definitely stay there again!! I got the bang for my buck. Thanks once again! 253) You get what you pay for... 25 minutes walking distance from the Temple square. Supermarket is nearby. Fully equipped kitchen, TV and free Internet access in the living room. This place is a symbiosis of B&B by interior and hostel (guest house) by the character. You can contact the owner at any time if you have any questions. He actually let me leave my luggage in the secure area after checking out, so I could freely explore the city before my departure time. 252) At first I thought it was weird because they didn't seem to have staff on site. But, it turned out there was a PT manager and the other folks in the house were nice, friendly, and most importantly in hosteling - not too weird ;-) Kitchen and bathrooms nice and clean. Would definitely stay here again. 251) Great price and has all the amenities you need. Arthur is very accommodating and willing to help out with what you want. Close to down town and the Utah TRAX which makes the place nice as well. Again, can't beat the price!! 250) This was my first stay at the Camelot Guest House and my first visit to Salt Lake City. I found the accommodations at the Camelot Guest House to be quite satisfactory and an excellent value. The location of the guest house is excellent, and within easy striking distance to anything one might want to see or do in the Salt Lake City area. I stayed there for four evenings, and had no problems whatsoever with finding the guest house, security in the neighborhood, etc. The guest house staff is very friendly, accommodating, and informative. Also, the Camelot Guest House has everything a traveler could want in terms of amenities, laundry and kitchen facilities, very clean and abundant bathrooms, internet access, etc. I would definitely stay there again... 249) Camelot is a great place : lovely house, clean and nice... the owner Arthur has been very nice. 248) Cool setup, friendly owner. Recommended. 247) ... I will say this was one of the nicest hostels I've stayed in and would totally recommend it to anyone. House had tons of character. The Camelot-esque decor was a nice touch. :) 246) Very pleasant guest house. My daughter and I felt very safe and comfortable. Thanks for the good night's rest. 245) The location was good - close to restaurants and other places. Be aware that the taxes and fees are not included in the rates. I would recommend this hostel (Guest House) to anyone to stay. 244) I was a good hostel (Guest House) to stay, good price/quality value I think. I met some nice people there. 243) My girlfriend and I were only here one night, from about 10:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m. the next day, so I can't really comment on how "fun" the place was. However, all of the other ratings get 5/5 in my opinion. The only issue that we had was that upon checking in we found that our reservation was not in the computer. I thought it was going to end up being a huge hassle, but I called Arthur at the phone number I'd gotten in my reservation confirmation email, left him a message and he called my back in literally less than two minutes. He checked the records, discovered the problem and inputted our information in to the computer so we could check in. The total delay was about fifteen minutes. Arthur was very apologetic, but more importantly, he took care of the situation right away. 242) At 61 yrs old, this was my 1st hostel (guest house) experience. I was pleased. Camelot House is a good, budget minded alternative for travelers to Salt Lake City. The essentials (bathroom, kitchen, linens, etc.) were clean... Security was good & I felt comfortable and safe. 241) Location, proximity to convenience store, hospitable staff, friendly guests. 240) Clean and quiet. 239) Good price - with laundry, internet, parking area. - it's clean and the people are nice. 238) Clean, quiet, safe. 237) Hospitality and atmosphere. 236) That it was easy to check in and check out! 235) In Salt Lake City, I can think of no better Hostel accommodations. The Camelot is immaculately clean, well organized, and convenient to walk downtown. In addition, you can walk 3 blocks to the free zone for public transportation in the downtown area. If you are in SLC for a convention, the Camelot is the way to go. Amongst the best organized Hostels in my experience. 234) Sincere attempt to upgrade security of guests with the booking process. Very clean. 233) Self serve, private rooms cheap and clean, nothing sold here was overpriced. 232) This hostel (Guest House) was a little strange but great. Everything is done with key codes etc. that they send you beforehand. You need to be a bit organized, especially if you are arriving at an odd time when there might not be anyone around to help. That said, it was very clean and very comfy. Highly recommended. 231) It was warm. Plenty of bathrooms. Quiet. 230) Clean, safe and small. 229) Safe and secure. Easy to walk to from downtown (ten mins from center and ten mins from FREE TRAX into downtown (or 1 payed stop from station next to the hostel). Excellent value for money. Easy self check-in. 228) Central location to downtown SLC and the ski resorts. Friendly people. 227) We stayed in your hostel (Guest House) for 2 nights and were satisfied. Everything as advertised. Clean rooms. 226) ...quirky, but clean and reliable. Couldn't ask more for the price. 225) Short but nice stay in this hostel (Guest House). Felt like in a friend's house. 224) Thank you very much for a nice room in SLC. I enjoyed very much and I safely return to Japan. Hope to stay again in your hostel (Guest House). 223) About a mile or a $6 cab fare from the amtrak station... It's 2 minutes from the TRAX light rail station, a 2 minute ride to the Walmart Super center and 10 minutes into town for $2.25. Rooms, bathrooms and kitchen were very clean and well equipped - fridges, oven, microwave, laundry/dryer and free WIFI! The house rules work! 222) A different hostel (Guest House) experience... Overall good experience and will stay there again in the future. 221) Nice, clean, secure hostel (Guest House), with a good system for checking in/out etc. at any hour... 220) I pretty much like it. It is a very nice place, comfortable, looks clean, the staff is nice, it's relatively close to downtown (I recommend to rent a bike over there), it's safe enough, they have free wireless and the auto check in is very easy... Overall I recommend the place. Is a very nice and friendly hostel (Guest House). And the city is very beautiful! :) 219) Clean & convenient to public transit if you have an agenda planned. Not a place to find fun - place to come back to after you've had enough fun. It worked great for us coming to & from the airport after staying up the mountain. 218) I had a private room which was of adequate size and very good value for the money. It takes approximately 30 minutes to walk to the congress center from the hostel (Guest House). There is a supermarket very close and the kitchen facilities are good. 217) Nice place to stay if you want to be in downtown SLC. The local train is nearby, as well as shopping and the library... if you are looking for a place to crash while skiing in SLC, this will do. The resorts are a quick ride away, maybe 25 minutes. 216) Would absolutely stay here again. Way cleaner than I expected as this was my first hostel experience. I felt very secure in my room and the other patron I saw appeared to be a clean-cut individual. 215) Great experience to stay at camelot guest house. 214) Nice place - quiet, clean, great kitchen w/pots/pan, dishes - you won't have to eat out. Whole Foods is three blocks away, and Smith Marketplace (market) is a block away. The bus stop is half a block, and the TRAX is next to Whole Foods.. 213) Thank you for the stay!...You have a very nice place and I will recommend it to others and also continue to use your services in the future. Thank you very much. 212) It's totally different... you have a code to get in and you then check yourself in on the computer and get another code to open a safe that has your room key... It's comical, but it actually works well. It's a nice hostel (Guest House), good kitchen facilities... nice and clean and really close to transport into town. We only stayed for one night, but I would have been happy enough staying there for a month. 211) I just wanted to say thank you for working so hard in providing a peaceful, beautiful, and friendly atmosphere, for all the travelers. I can only hope that this very welcoming home you've provided may always bring rest to the weary, and strength to the weak. Since I've been here, I've been rested. I've been happy and most of all, I've been given a chance to relish in my inner peace. Because of this wonderful home of refuse, my family may smile as well. I give this true statement to you, the reader of all things good. If you need a place that's safe, a home that's inviting, then find your way to Camelot. Rest is here. Thank you Arthur. 210) I stayed in the 1700 S guest house... I was really happy with my stay. The room was comfortable and spacious, and very clean. It was nice to have a full kitchen too... Definitely good value for the price I paid and I will book with you again next time I ski at Snowbird. Cheers. 209) Really handy if you don't have a car as the TRAX is really close. Staff are very helpful and hostel (Guest House) is great. Lots of bathrooms, so no queues in the morning. Great place to stay in Salt lake. 208) Thanks for a great stay. No problems staying in the overflow house... Thanks again. 207) Thank you very much for providing such a pleasant place to stay while I was here in Salt Lake City for the Households in the Middle East and Beyond: Method, Theory and Practice archaeology conference at the University of Utah... as a single female traveler I can assert that I had absolutely no problems and felt safe and comfortable. Why pay more for expensive hotels when you can stay in a cozy house like this with use of the kitchen? It reaffirms my general assertion after years of research abroad that you do NOT get what you pay for when it comes to hotels and hostels. Also, the location of the hostel (Guest House) is incredibly convenient next to the TRAX line where I had quick access to my conference site at the university... 206) All of wonderful and surprising good quality- Thanks. I was delighted in the mature age and quiet nature of myself and the other residents, as "fun" was way away from what I was looking for in accommodations. 205) I can tell you that the guest house is very clean, well-kept, ordered, and I would gladly stay again and recommend it to others... Overall, I was very impressed with the place. Probably one of the cleanest places I have ever stayed (I have traveled all over Europe and stayed in many hostels)...Thank you so much for providing me with such a nice place to stay! 204) A very clean and warm place to stay that offered all the amenities of home which included a touch of Camelot Decor. The security cameras, keyless entry, and deadbolt locks added a great sense of security in what appeared to be a safe neighborhood... 203) It was really nice stay in here. My room was clean. I want to stay here again when I come to Salt Lake City! Thank you so much. 202) This Guest House is very clean and you can feel safe. 201) Really nice place to stay and be independent... overall we really enjoyed it! 200) Thanks for last moment help, guys... Really appreciate it!! 199) It was very convenient to everything compared to some motels I've stayed at in the Salt Lake City area. I spent almost all of my time doing research at the library, so it worked out just fine. I had a little trouble checking in but had some help... I talked to a couple of the guests, which is more than I have done at most places I have stayed. 198) A great alternative for a place to stay on a budget. Ski areas are close and the accommodations are comfortable. I would stay again. 197) Very nice place. 196) Room was fine. The amenities were above average. A porch to protect the electronic door lock is a good addition. The street car is on the next street and most of the town's restaurants and clubs are a short walk away. A good place to stay in Salt Lake City. 195) This was my first time staying in a hostel (Guest House) and I must say I really enjoyed it. Nice location and very secure. Thanks for the nice stay! 194) Very nice people, very friendly. Good location, 5-10 mins walk from the city center. Rooms and beds are very nice, very safe and secure... Overall a very nice stay. 193) Almost in the center of downtown SLC, UT, the hospitality, along with the majestic view of the mountains makes this an ideal situation for my occupation as a journeyman fireman. I am always looking for deals as everyone else in my profession. It's worth checking out. 192) Great job. It is an excellent hostel (Guest House) in a good location. Easy to find, and to get around. It is also clean and well kept. 191) I was very pleased with the status of this hostel (Guest House)... It was my first ever hostel (Guest House) experience... Arthur was friendly... I am grateful to Arthur and his hostel (Guest House) service. 190) Camelot is great!!! 189) The room was clean and the bed was good. The kitchen, living room and bathroom were in good shape. I went to Salt Lake City to go skiing and the location was perfect. It is just two blocks from the bus station (bus to the ski resorts) and it is located in downtown Salt Lake. It was easy to find by car, just a few blocks from the interstate. Arthur the owner was very friendly and helpful. You could ask him about everything and he helped me. I will strongly recommend the place because of the location, good standard and it is inexpensive. 188) I wasn't really there for fun...just needed a cheap place to stay on my cross country trip. It was clean and had great amenities. I would definitely stay again. 187) This Hostel (Guest House) is very good! 186) I was offered a job in Salt Lake City with Ballet West. I only had a week to move out and had to find a place quick. The Camelot Hostel (Guest House) was recommended to me by a friend and it worked out great. If you are moving to Salt Lake City and need a temporary place to stay before finding a permanent home, there is no reason why the Camelot Hostel (Guest House) can't work for you too. 185) The staff dude Arthur is cool and very helpful. Location is pretty close to town. Rooms are nice and very clean... Fine if your passing through for a day or two. 184) I liked the self check in system. 183) It's really good, this place. I really appreciate it! It's a good reference for my new trips to SLC! Thanks for all. 182) Thank you for your hospitality. I was very comfortable here at your house and will recommend your services to everyone I know. Thank you for making me feel at home. 181) Location is great, house is cool. Check email for door info. The kitchen is great and there's parking! I would recommend and return. 180) Really very good!! I was really surprised by the cleanliness!!! The location as well, is really good... it is perfect! 179) Good place to live for vacation. Will back again next time. 178) Really cool!!!! and convenient!!! 177) I would like to thank you for receiving me at 800 Guest House. Everything was well organized at the house, and I could do the self check-in without problem, it was really easy. I was surprised because this was the first time that I stayed at a hostel (Guest House), it's a really nice place. 176) I stayed in room 13, bed 4 on the night of the 22nd. I really enjoyed your hostel (Guest House). It was very clean, the cable tv and convenient check-in were fantastic. Overall a great place. 175) It was an easy place to stop for the night, to get a bit of rest, but unfortunately that is as long as our stay lasted. The self check in was convenient, as long as you remember to get the necessary number etc, and do the work before. This is a nicely functioning place. Thanks again. 174) This is one of the best hostels (Guest Houses) I have stayed in to date. The process seems flawless and quite easy - a great approach to reduce the operating cost! I'll be traveling back to Canada from California in 4 months time. I will be sure to stop and stay here on my return journey. Thanks again for running such a great guest house! 173) First of all, I'm really happy with your accommodations in Jefferson Guest House. Much more comfortable than any hostel (Guest House) I've ever been. 172) Robert and Holly have been very helpful. Your facility is nice, clean and comfortable. 171) Everything you could need, so nothing I can possibly fault. The self check in system was genius 170) I recently stayed at your guesthouse on 800 S. and Jefferson St. from 04 Dec 2008 until 18 Dec 2008. The accommodations were pleasant and the house's facilities were always clean. The staff was always helpful and courteous. Arthur went above and beyond to help with the issues and questions I had with my first time staying there. I look forward to staying again. 169) Just thought I'd e-mail to say thank you quickly, for sorting out my situation when I came to stay. It was a very nice place, and I will be sure to write a very positive review via hostels.com. 168) I really enjoyed my stay here at 800 South. I was in room 6 and found the room and overall facility in good condition and an enjoyable atmosphere. I have already recommended you to other travelers and will continue to for those who are traveling to Salt Lake City. 167) This is one of the best hostels (Guest Houses) I have ever stayed in in my whole 10 years of backpacking. The hostel (Guest House) is extremely clean, quiet, and the location is excellent. Thanks Arthur for your warm welcome, and I will definitely stay there again if ever I have a chance to visit the beautiful Salt Lake City. Keep it up!!! 166) I had a great 2 day stay. Love your place and concept. Hope to cross paths again. Best Wishes 165) I was there for 2 days... very private for a hostel (Guest House). For me, the place was better than any hotel I've ever stayed at. I felt right at home. Also, they have free WiFi. 164) Good price for your own room. Staff were helpful and felt safe... Very good value for money though if you're staying in Salt Lake City. 163) Just wanted to thank you for the stay at 800...Your place was perfect! The door guy was courteous and rather informative and the amenities were more than I had expected!... All in all, great place and I will be referring to friends! 162) Security features were great. I had never experienced something like that before. Same with the self check-in. I was a bit nervous about communicating any messages or problems to staff, but the only time I needed to, it ran smoothly. 161) The bathrooms impressed me with their cleanliness. 160) I had a great long term stay at Camelot. I had a very comfortable room with lots of windows. it was quiet and I was always able to study without any interference. I stay here again in a heartbeat. If i ever visit SLC again, Ill be sure to stay here, and Id recommend to anyone who is passing through here. Thank you so much for hospitality! 159) I want to say that this has been an amazing experience. This house has been so nice to come home to after my conference. It was perfect walking distance to downtown and I loved coming back here instead of staying at a hotel. Plus all the money I saved by staying here made my trip that much more relaxing. It is nice and quiet here and I loved the experience. I appreciate what you have created and thank you for an incredible stay. I encourage everyone coming to SLC to stay at one of Arthur's Hostels (Guest House). Truly a unique experience compared to staying with the mass of people downtown. Awesome! I recommend this to everyone!!! 158) Very good and comfortable! Recommended! I had a very good experience staying here, the place is very clean, comfortable and quiet, and with a great price. I had absolutely no problems and everything was as advertised. It is located in a good place, and you feel very safe being there. The owners are very helpful and good. Absolutely recommended if you visit Salt Lake City, and I would definitely stay again. 157) Very well-kept and organized. Thank God for the after-hours check-in system. Overall, a fast, stress-free experience. 156) It was clean, bathrooms were clean, we got a private room. Close to a lot of restaurants and stores... it was fine for one night's stay. Overall, great if you are looking for a cheap place to stay for the night in Salt Lake City. 155) What a great introduction to Salt Lake City! I had a very pleasant stay at the Camelot. The room and facilities were excellent and very clean. The location can't be beat. Automated check-in is unique and easy. I will recommend this great value to my friends in Kentucky. Many thanks. 154) Arthur and his mother were there prepping the room for me when I arrived. I was a little early for check in, but they were kind and personable and let me hang out in the common area until my room was ready. The self check in was very easy and there are signs everywhere that help you along the way. It was great. The room was clean and came with everything listed in the description. I was worried because I came traveling with quite a bit of luggage in my move across the country and there were no locking foot lockers included in the rooms, but the rooms are very very secure and safe. I stayed for two days and had my laptop and lots of other valuables in the room every time I went out to explore or meet with friends and I wasn't worried about it at all. Very safe and secure building. I would stay here again in a heartbeat if I ever return to Salt Lake City. 153) Had another great stay here in SLC... thanks again! 152) Thank you for the stay, I have enjoyed myself and have recommended Camelot to others. 151) Great, safe hostel (Guest House) close to everything!! I would definitely stay again. One of the best I've been to! 150) ...The owners were around a lot. You can tell they take pride in their establishment and that was nice to see. 149) Good host. 148) I have been impressed with the house and your management. 147) It's the best place for budgeted travelers who don't need extra comfort. It was very friendly. If you are poor student... it's the best place. I like that place. 146) ... it was a clean warm hostel (Guest House) that felt home-like, and I was glad to have a room to myself. 145) I enjoyed my stay very much. 144) Many thanks for the time what we were in your guesthouse, everything was exactly what we were wanting. 143) Place was comfortable and clean. I liked the set up with dishes, and cooking utensils provided... Thank you for your hospitality, I will be back in SLC in Nov. might stay again. Thank you 142) Found this Guest House to be extremely well equipped and the self-service system to be well thought out and efficient. Would definitely stay again. We thought Camelot had everything we needed. 141) A great place, very rustic and perfect for a visit to yellowstone 140) Pretty nice hostel (Guest House). Everything over there is clean, nice, and in good condition... 139) My stay at the Jefferson Guest house was great! Clean, comfortable, pleasant, and convenient. I would definitely stay there again. 138) I liked the cleanliness, Joshua's friendliness, and helpfulness. 137) ... Thank you for letting me stay here. I had a great time and if I'm ever in the area again I'll be sure to come back. Thanks. 136) The hostel (Guest House) is clean and comfortable. I stayed for 5 days and find everything ok. The location is good, just 2 minutes from TRAX station. I'll stay again. 135) I got to tell you this place rocks. I love it, always clean, bathrooms clean, people are nice I wish I could stay more time ... seriously man , close to TRAX, this place is pretty awesome, I was scared at the beginning but now I love it... thanks for everything.. 134) Automatically, traveler can stay from arriving to leaving without seeing one staff. Opening key is fun. It is a place you can choose in SLC. 133) Thank you very very much for the stay at your nice and clean and well kept hostel (Guest House)...if possible we will come back. 132) Stay was fine, very clean and quiet. Thanks. 131) ...can recommend this to anybody looking for an inexpensive stay accommodation. 130) This was a great place to stay. We will be recommending it to friends. Thanks again! 130) This hostel (800 S Guest House) is one of the best I have ever stayed in. It has a nice modern look on the inside, check-in is easy, the common areas are clean and the management are easy to get a hold of if you need something. The best part is it is a 3 minute walk from the city light rail line. I would stay here again for sure. 129) Great little hostel (Guest House)in the outskirts of SLC's downtown. The self-check in system worked without problems...the facilities are great (washer, kitchen, good bathrooms). 128) It was nice to stay at your facilities. 127) It's best place for budgeted travelers who don't need extra comfort. It was very friendly. If you are poor student, but don't disturb others with your behavior (as we all know students are often a noisy people:)), it's the best place. I like that place. 126) Compliments to your lovely hostel (Guest House). It is so much fun here and I will recommend it to everyone I see!! 125) Great place you have here... Thanks much for the great place; very good people. I have never stayed in a hostel (Guest House) before; the young man you have working for you, is very professional. Very happy with things; the place is so clean... 124) This hostel (Guest House) was clean and felt safe. I was nervous, being a woman traveling alone, but there was no need. I plan on staying here again. 123) First time staying at a hostel (Guest House). I was ready to go to a hotel if I did not feel comfortable but did not need to. I would stay here again. 122) Great place to stay for the night, we were only there between 11pm and 6am, but everything worked out great ... good place to crash on a long drive. 121) I was looking for a place to stay for 1 or two weeks while I was training for my new job in Salt Lake City, but I didn't t have the time to find a place because I was always at work, so I stayed at the guest house the first week...but I liked it so much, that I stayed for 5 weeks total, everything was great, the place was clean every single day; bathrooms kitchen, all the areas clean all the time, my room was fantastic for the price. Best thing was the train was across the street from the house. All the clubs and fun places in downtown, couple of block away from the house, so I was able to walk everywhere from there. The people in charge of the place are extremely nice, I will always remember this sweet lady, Isabel...she used to come every morning and do things around the house, I even learned some portuguese with her...and the people who stayed in the house made it even better, college students, lots of europeans on vacations, very very nice people...so what can I say? I had a great time at the guest house I recommended it 100%. 120) ...I have stayed at your place quite a few times and can't beat the privacy, cleanliness and price! 119) We stayed for 2 days at Camelot. We were pleased with the comfort & cleanliness. The availability of proper bathrooms, kitchens, pc & tv were very good... 118) ...I really enjoyed staying at your hostel (Guest House) and I am going to come back on Wednesday for another night. 117) Once again a great stay. The best cheap guy spot I have found in my travels. 116) I stayed for two months at the 17S hostel (Guest House) and I just came back home... I was happily surprised by the hostel (Guest House). I was only looking for a cheap and quiet place to stay and I found a very fine room. Free internet was definitely useful as it allowed me to work during my holidays. The room was clean and quiet, not far from the TRAX station or a supermarket... Arthur and his parents were very helpful every time I asked. I will try to come back to SLC this summer and that will definitely be the first place I'll look to stay. 115) ...we thought the place was nice and secure. It's a great way to travel if you're coming somewhere late at night and on a budget. Thanks! 114) Best hostel (Guest House) I have been into so far... 113) I was impressed by how straightforward all of the directions were, everything was very easy to follow. And even though we got in very late at night, we had no problem getting settled. The place felt very secure and clean... 112) Great location. 111) ...Very quiet. Got a single room for 28 dollars with a clean bathroom right next door and plenty of hot water. Short tram ride from the city center. I'd recommend it as a cheap and convenient place to stay with good value for your money... 110) I really do appreciate the fact there was a place like this available at a very crucial time in my life. I was evicted from my apartment due to the fact I was staying with an irresponsible roommate who I thought was a good friend. Well any ways I can't say enough about how grateful I am to run across Camelot, it has really been a blessing in my life. It's in a very convenient spot for me and it's close to my work. I really am grateful an appreciate everything. 109) This place was perfect for a place to crash... I'd stay again for the price and location. 108) Thanks for the place to stay. I found the room to be clean, quiet and well kept. I would definitely recommend another stay here. 107) I was very satisfied with my stay at Camelot house. All I wanted was a bed to sleep in, a bathroom, and fridge. I appreciated the security features and felt safe there. Location was convenient... Would definitely stay there again. Good value. 106) For my recent move to Salt Lake City, The Jefferson House was instrumental in my making a quick transition to permanent housing. Unbelievably convenient, clean, and incredibly reasonably priced. Wonderful downtown location, steps from TRAX, free close by parking. Perfectly working WIFI, cable TV connection in the room, a kitchen that (for me) was always open and available. For me, Arthur and his beautiful concept was absolutely key to my move to Salt Lake City. I'll never forget my wonderful experience at The Jefferson House. 105) It was wonderful to be able to check in within minutes. The room and bathroom were very clean. They had a fantastic kitchen with a microwave, coffee maker, refrigerator, laundry. So if I wanted to, I could have had breakfast there. And, it was 2 minutes walking from a TRAX station. I took the TRAX everywhere. 104) The facilities, people, and cost at Camelot are the very best. I will gladly stay again when my travels bring me to Salt Lake City. 103) Great place! Everything worked the way it was supposed to. It's a quiet place, but the people were very nice and the location is right around the great Salt Lake City bus line. If you are going to be out all day and need a bed at night, then this is the place for you. 102) The place is very nice and comfortable! 101) I slept well, felt cared for and welcomed here. Thanks for the hospitality. And the shower is high tech! 100) I am writing an article on 'Cheap Ski" (how to ski on the cheap) and will submit it for publication to SKI, SNOW, etc magazines, who will then publish it for their 2009 ski season. I am including information on the Camelot, which I like...it is clean, nice people, with allot of facilities that even the most expensive hotels don't have, i.e. refrigerator, micro-wave, washer and dryer, computer and fax access... 99) Overall, an awesome stay. Helpful staff, amazing people. Temporary residents and visitors from all around the globe. Amazing memories here. 98) I liked the Camelot Guest House very much and I recommend it to all travelers, who are going to SLC. It is not far from the downtown - I walked there and I liked the quiet atmosphere in the house. Thank you very much! 97) I think this is so secure hostel (Guest House) I have ever seen. It has been protect by cameras and technologies that you may never seen in other hostel... Everything goes good and I recommended this place to stay for a night. The toilets is clean. 96) Far exceeded my expectations- My stay at the hostel (Guest House) was most memorable. The concierge, Joshua, was extremely friendly and helpful, even at times when he wasn't scheduled to be on duty. Management has done a good job of excluding the local near-homeless population that sometimes plaque urban hostels. Fellow travelers were most interesting and excellent company. The facilities were first rate for budget accommodations, among the best I've ever seen. The bathrooms were extremely clean and numerous. The kitchen facilities (including an oven for baking!) allowed me to prepare my meals everyday. I highly recommend this facility to everyone (and in fact I've told many people staying elsewhere in the area what a gem this place is). Should I have the opportunity to return to SLC in the future, I won't even consider staying anywhere else. 95) I want to tell you that I really have a good impression of the guest houses that I stayed at recently. The price, the location, the system to control access (quick check-in computers), were all good. I will recommend it to friends and would not hesitate to stay there in the future. 94) Showers and bathrooms were clean, location close to light rail and downtown and highways. 93) It is clean and quiet. It has a kitchen, a laundry facility, WiFi, and public computers. It is conveniently located near public transportation and downtown attractions. Good price. 92) Friendly, easy-to-talk-to staff. 91) No sketchy characters. (I generally have a high tolerance for oddballs and enjoy them usually). 90) Great international clientele, location very convenient to TRAX and buses, friendly staff, clean comfortable accommodations, bathrooms were very clean and numerous. 89) Great place to stay for the money. I'd definitely stay there again and recommend it to my friends. 88) Thank you for offering a good experience. The staff was great, and I appreciate the help when I forgot my ID. The downstairs room was comfortable, and cozy. Thanks again! 87) Very hi tech. 86) A great place to stay - very affordable and convenient! 85) Lots of bathrooms, that was nice. Arrived late and only slept here, so didn't really see anyone else. Good overall. 84) I would recommend this hostel (guest house) to anyone traveling through salt lake. It was in an easy location to the UTE (bus & TRAX), plus it was really clean. 83) I stayed in all three guest houses (Camelot Guest House, Camelot Hostel, and Jefferson Guest House) for a total of 2 months during summer of 2007 and I really enjoyed my stay there. The rooms are very clean and spacious. I can highly recommend it and I hope that I can spend my next 82) This hostel (Guest House) was the first one that I have ever stayed at and it was wonderful. It is only a mile away from downtown Salt Lake and it is so easy to get to anything. The staff was very helpful and very hospitable. 81) It's a great location so close to the UTA Tracks, the only mess I saw there was my own, which was awesome. 80) This is the perfect hostel (Guest House) for someone who is looking for a quiet, solitary stay... Other than that all of our other needs were met. 79) You can use TRAX to go to downtown, can reach 7-eleven in 2mins by foot. Not that bad as the cheap hostel (Guest House). I liked their self check-in system. Feel so free. 78) I am really enjoying my stay at the camelot palace. It is even more original than I could have ever imagined. 77) Loved how super easy and independent everything was. But at the same time there were people available to help when we were confused. Thanks for a great stay! 76) The place is run entirely absentee, which was a bit strange, but it's immaculate and has great facilities (especially the sauna-shower!) and is overall a very good place to stay. 75) It's so safe.... it's like a bunker, you can be sure that you're in a safe area. The security system is a bit difficult, but so secure. And also it's so clean and you have the possibility to cook, and to have cold drinks, and food. 74) Very clean and good location. A nice place to meet interesting people. We love this place very much. 73) You're self check-in system is AMAZING. As I said, 90% of my time is spent away from home. If all hotels had this system in place, it would ease the weary traveler ... It's also attractive for the business traveler too. My trips to Utah are not covered by my employer. Spending the money on a local apartment is also unrealistic. Why spend $800/mo on a place you're never at - right? 72) ...We had a great stay. The video game machine was a lot of fun, and the room was ready for us. Guidelines (including check-in and check-out) were clear, and I liked that we could check-in, even though we got there very late. 71) Very clean place, a bit strange checking in without seeing anyone, but if you follow the instructions it works fine. 70) Another great stay at the 800 South Guesthouse! The service here is consistently good and the location can't be beat. Forget about those other hostels on the list and stay here when you are in Salt Lake. 69) This was a great place to stay. We will be recommending it to friends. Thanks again! 68) I did enjoy my stay to the uttermost- The hostel (800 South Guest House) is neat, tidy and user-friendly. The host lists clear instructions that everything is in good hand. I enjoy sitting in the living room and chatting with the friends I just made there. There was a TRAX station and a 7-11 convenience store one minute away on foot. Every place was so accessible. With the cheap price, I got the great service I never expected. If I have a chance to visit there, Camelot Hostel will still be my choice. Thank the host and the assistants. 67) Camelot Hostel's (800 South Guest House) Self-Check in/check out process was a breeze. You can come and go at this hostel and never speak a word to another human being, if you wanted to. Not the best place for parties and meeting adventurous travel companions, but awesome if you need some quiet time to yourself. 66) My first hostel (Guest House) experience, and it could hardly have been better! Incredibly clean, very secure, and good people. 65) It's nicer than I thought. Clean and secure. People around are nice too. 64) It looked like a real house - kitchen not like any normal hostel kitchen but a really wonderful kitchen like a real house. 63) Great -- clean and organized Camelot Hostel is very clean and highly efficient. The instructions of the hostel (Guest House) are clearly explained, and having access to free internet use is highly convenient. The staff is very helpful and the location is within a mile of the city center. There are also many amenities that are provided as well including a washer/dryer on-site. 62) This place is great! I like it alot. I met one of the residents who was so kind as to show me the area a bit, I love the house it's very clean and homely feeling... I had also booked a room at a suites hotel in case I did not like the guesthouse, but one night here and I enjoyed it very much, it's a quiet place and perfect for me. 61) Hiya, Thanks heaps for looking after Ndekezi, apparently his stay with you was most satisfactory. Thanks for your great service, keep up the good work of providing accessible, low cost, excellently staffed facilities for travelers. "Good on you", as we say in Australia!! cheers 60) Very Clean. Quiet. Well run! It was located near downtown Salt Lake City. And right off the main freeways which was great because I had a rental car. They had a parking area that was private which was great. The place was very clean. Quiet. Most of the guests where adults which was perfect because I was on a business trip. The owner and management is extremely courteous and helpful. I needed something because I forgot to indicate it during my booking of my room. I emailed the owner and had what I needed in about five minutes. Awesome! All in all it was the best hostel (Guest House) experience I've had to date. I will definitely be back next time I'm in the SLC area. 59) Arthur and his family are awesome. I had problems with my flight and they really helped me out. I would recommend their hostels over any hotel i have ever stayed in. I had a truly wonderful experience. 58) Great place to stay. Easy to deal with and overall GREAT experience. Would definitely recommend to friends. 57) We liked it very much! Best price value! cheap and very clean!! free Internet, free phone, free laundry! nice kitchen!! If you go to Salt Lake City, you should stay here... 56) As an independent software developer I find that the broadband at the Camelot house is reliable and fast. I can stay in touch with my clients even when out of town. I have traveled the world staying in numerous hostels throughout Europe and at the Camelot house is the BEST hostel (Guest House) I have ever stayed at. I never have to worry about people smoking hash in the TV room and feel my valuables are always secure, for example I went to a breakfast the other morning and did not lock my room correctly, not only were all my belongings still there - cameras laptops etc. but Arthur came and locked at the doorknob and jam and determined it was the fixture and promptly committed to fix it. This is a testament to the quality of people that stay at Camelot. I have had less service from luxury hotels that "cater" to business travelers. 55) This is really a cool hostel, the new creative check-in system is just like playing a treasure finding game! I think this place is even more than a hostel (Guest House). It also trains you to self-discipline and resolve the problems independently. It is in a very convenient location and has complete equipment, including kitchen, laundry, WiFi and bicycle... you just can't miss such a cool place and a self test! 54) Everything I needed I was looking for a reasonably priced place to stay while making a ski trip to Salt Lake City in March. Camelot Guest House turned out to be perfect. Offered a place to sleep in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance of everything I needed (grocery store, Hard Rock Cafe) and a thirty- to forty-minute drive to Alta and Snowbird. Facilities were great allowing me to prepare and store my food and save a bundle. I plan to return next year. 53) I liked being able to check myself in and there are lots and lots of signs all over the place to let you know what's up. The place was clean, cute, and convenient. The A/C worked -- it was nice and cool and my room had a ceiling fan... Overall, it was a very pleasant experience. I would recommend this place. 52) Close to downtown and very clean. Safe and just as good as a more costly hotel room. 51) Excellent place to stay for a very good price. Very friendly and helpful folks. 50) 2nd time there.... this is an old Victorian house with lots of character and easy to get into. Free WiFi. 49) Hi everybody ! I sincerely want to recommend Arthur's Rooms to everybody coming to Salt Lake City, since they represent the ideal solution to everybody's needs: His 3 Guesthouses are good for short, middle and long-term travelers and/or tenants. A stay of 2 nights can be organized as well as 1 week, 3 months or much more. Arthurs Rooms are nice, clean, affordable and provide a quiet and peaceful ambiance for people of all ages, as long as they collaborate with the same spirit and rules of coexistence made with interest for general benefit. Arthur himself is generous, flexible and offers a lot of internal services for your comfort, always willing to help and to respond to individual needs. Together with his parents he made this place a lifetime task to serve other people with a warm and pleasant familiar touch. Arthurs Rooms is a wonderful opportunity to meet others and integrate in some time of well-organized social life. Try it and be part of it! 48) Liebe Leute gross und klein, 47) ¡ Hola todos ! 46) I had a great time at the Camelot! It is a place near many things and we met some really nice people! 45) This is an excellent location with great ownership. They have all the modern conveniences available at a travelers price. Salt Lake commuter rail is close by and all the best hot spots in downtown are accessible. Highly impressed! 44) My stay at Jefferson, while apartment searching, was delightful. Felt like home away from home. I liked that it's a house with room for just a few travelers. John and Isabel are *wonderful* hosts (and their little dog, Sandy). What a comfortable place to come back to after work: a quiet, clean place to sleep, cook a meal in the kitchen, watch TV or check e-mail, and chat with other travelers. Arthur, who owns the Camelot Guest Houses, is very accommodating and timely getting back to you, too. Thanks for helping with my transition to Salt Lake! 43) Great service & place to stay. I will be back. 42) Completely renovated hostel (Guest House) with great facilities. Excellent location: can walk to downtown or take mass trans just outside the door. Great cafe (The Jade) for BLD around the corner. Rooms are quiet and smoke free. Better than a hotel. 41) Camelot Hostel is a MILLION BUCKS! And, you can tell Arthur I said so. The first word that comes to mind when I think of Camelot is VALUE. You get a private room for $20 a night - in downtown Salt Lake City! Plus, they have a jacuzzi shower with a stereo in it. Plus, the whole place was just remodeled. I've been in rich people's homes that aren't this nice. And, Arthur and his staff REALLY care about you liking their place. Every time I saw him, he was smiling and doing something to make Camelot a nicer place. Finally, more than once, I have sent Arthur e-mails, only to have my questions answered or concerns addressed within just a very few minutes. Who else is going to do that for you? You owe it to yourself to stay at this amazing place, with these good people. 40) I just got back this AM from Salt Lake City. I stayed at the Camelot guest house after my friend bailed last minute... The people staying there were great. I even went out for some drinks with some of them. It's walking distance of downtown, a mile from I-15 and 35 minute drive Alta... You can rent a compact car (at least to get you to the LCC or BCC where you can take the ski bus) and still be ahead of the game. PS: I got my superpass through travelocity, and they had: buy at least two days and get one free. 39) This place should be a model for hostels from coast to coast. After staying in many hostels in recent years, I find that this one here in SLC is about as close as possible to "PERFECT". The owner Arthur is a true professional gentleman, and has covered all the angles in successfully building a quality establishment. Very Clean, Respectful Guests, Quiet Rooms, Great Amenities, Great Location. A superb lodging facility that meets and exceeds. 38) Thank you so much Arthur for your outstanding customer service! We met your father while we were there, he was very nice! We loved your hostel (Guest House) and will be recommending you to our friends and family! HAPPY NEW YEAR! 37) A great option for Ski Birds! I met some great people who were staying in the hostel (Guest House). It was very clean and Mr. Arthur was available for any questions 24/7. TOUGH JOB! I especially liked the free Internet and food! If you stay here you will find 100's of stores within walking distance! BEWARE IT'S COLD OUTSIDE! 36) Clean, well organized. Lots of helpful signs re: resources and advice. Manager welcomed us and showed us resources. Lovingly restored old Victorian house. Other guests quiet and friendly. Cool, old touch-screen arcade game machine plays free in the lounge. Big, clean mirrors. Charming eccentric decor -- dragon rug in the lobby, movie promo Obi Wan Kenobi cutout, suit of armor, fish tank. 35) My daughter and I really enjoyed our two-night stay at Camelot Guest House. Jason was there when we arrived and helped us figure it out. I am sure we would have done OK from your instructions, but it was very pleasant to have his friendly help getting settled. I travel very rarely, so I was grateful. Praise for: The whole building smelled fresh and clean. Lots of informative signs. Good advice pleasantly told. The building is beautifully renovated, and the decor uncluttered and pleasingly eccentric. I do love old Victorian style houses, and am glad to see one so lovingly cared for. A good heavy window curtain in D2, our room... Nice thermo pane window. We loved being way up above the street; it was quiet, and private feeling. I put my bedroll down under the overhang by the window, and slept really well. Hardwood parquet floor in D2 very pleasant and clean. The "magic code" back door is fun. Nice well-marked parking area behind the house. Good instructions in the e-mails. The coded room key box is a wonderful "self service" idea. The lounge is pleasant, the arcade machine fun. Use of a computer. Bathrooms clean, with plenty of toilet paper. Timer light switches in public areas. I liked the chance to make our own bed up the way we like it. Nice rack-style shelves in the room. Good information resources: Bus schedule with highlighting in the kitchen. Also phone books and (vital for us) a medium scale handout map. Thank you very much for use of a local phone call telephone. (Our Alltel car phone can receive but not dial out in UT.) Kitchen wall clock very helpful. Fridge space/microwave. Good idea to label everything. You keep the place imaginatively organized. The first night, we discovered the light wasn't working in the bathroom by the kitchen. Jason took note, and fixed it promptly. To wrap up... I thought your facility far superior in charm and pleasantness to the "regular" motels I have stayed in. Thank you so much for encouraging us to try Camelot Guest House by fitting our limited budget so well. 34) I was in Salt Lake City for a collaboration with the University of Utah (I'm a PostDoc in Computer Science), and I found Camelot to be the right place for me: good price (the same as in-campus apartments, but without being forced to stay more than 3 months), good location (walking distance to the TRAX, the bus and a supermarket), good cleanness and great people as roommates. Good also for provided options (fridges, kitchens, Internet in your room, TV). I definitely recommend it. 33) The second part of this is more personal, it's my personal thanks for running an establishment like Camelot. So then to deal with business things first... I must say I was never "thrilled" with the state of Utah, but one thing that I did always enjoy was coming home to Camelot. The guesthouse you provided gave me the real feel of "coming home". It was a much more personal feel than many of the places I've lived and traveled to in the past, and I must say you did a phenomenal job of providing a outstanding atmosphere, and a great clientele. I've always found interesting discussions to be one of my passions in life, and the clients you chose to rent to always were intelligent and well educated. I made many fast friends during my stay at Camelot, friends I will have and cherish for years to come. Some I've even talked about visiting in their countries. I've enjoyed the barbecues, the camaraderies, and the overall feeling of people doing things with their lives. I've enjoyed your help, and hard work on the property, and I truly wish you the best. Truth be told I could talk for hours about the wonders of this place, and never truly do it justice, but one thing I For certain want to say to you Arthur, is thank you, thank you for giving me a chance to be part of the wonder that truly is... Camelot. 32) Thanks again for providing the unique environment of Camelot, which is more than just a place to stay. I've met a number of people who've become real friends and many others who are just interesting folks my life has been enriched by meeting. And yes, I understand that having rules and procedures is a big part of what makes it all work. 31) Out of all the hostels in Salt Lake, this is certainly the best. It is more laid back, awesome location, awesome facilities. Within 2 blocks you have some of the best restaurants and shopping in the city as well as Salt Lake's best city park. Book here to get the best Salt Lake experience. 30) Very good hostel (Guest House) located in the center of Salt lake , near downtown and close to the TRAX...Top security ! AMAZING RATES!!! I would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone !!! we had a great stay !!!!! 29) Camelot's in a great location, super easy to find. I had a private entrance, nice big bed. Definitely staying there next time I pass through. 28) I recently spent 6 nights at the Jefferson Guesthouse. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was very clean and comfortable - and wonderful to have free use of the computer, TV and washing facilities. Arthur and his wife were very helpful in providing information regarding travel, shops and sightseeing. was visiting the Family History Center to do research, and found the Guesthouse quite suitable for this purpose - close to transport. I would readily recommend it to anyone of any age! . 27) I want to extend my sincere thanks to you for being able to accommodate my stay in Salt Lake City. My grandparents are very happy that I was able to finish this week with them. John (manager) is a charming gentleman and having him about the guest houses put my husband's mind to ease. We expect to return next year to pay family respects and I shall be sure to book as early as I can. Thanks. 26) One of the better hostels I've been to, but at half the price! 25) We stayed here for about 9 or 10 days and it was a very pleasant experience. I definitely recommend it to anyone who needs a place to stay and can't afford staying in a motel or anyone who is traveling through. The staff is very kind and courteous and it's great that there is a kitchen because we got to cook homemade meals away from home. 24) I had a great experience at the Jefferson House. The location can't be beat, so close to downtown and TRAX. Arthur treats his guests with true professionalism. I would suggest staying at the house to friends and family. excellent value. 23) We had layover in SLC on our way north for the summer... not quite knowing what to expect, we were down for anything. Camelot was a pleasant surprise -- the room was basic, utilities great, yet the people were the real jewel. We pulled up around 9PM to meet a few people sitting out on the front lawn, talking and watching the night fall. Everyone was super friendly, helpful, approachable and gave off a good sense of community. In short, I definitely recommend Camelot for an affordable trip to Salt Lake City -- it's right in the middle of everything, we walked everywhere. Do note the Coffee Break Cafe a few blocks away and Sage Cafe for vegan/vegetarian breakfast, also a few blocks away. 22) I arrived here yesterday and it has exceeded my expectations! The owners/managers, Sylvia and Arthur, are extremely friendly and helpful. I felt welcomed when I arrived. The whole house is very clean. Here are several restrooms, all well-equipped and spotless. My room is welcoming and inviting. Other good things include great, accessible free parking; ironing board and iron; free laundry; free Easy Mac (may not always be available, who knows); fast Internet (I'm using it right now); great location; and great price. I highly recommend Camelot Rooms. 21) What a gem! More than a hostel (Guest House) - and having stayed in a number of hostels and B&B's around the country, I'd call it more of a B&B just without the breakfast. I might even call it... ....Camelot! Nice authentic Victorian house both with a magnificent mountain view from the porch while still in the center of a vibrant, clean city and within walking distance of almost more than I can list. Free high-speed Internet both on a provided PC and for wireless laptops, cable TV, a separate gaming machine, weights and exercise machine, common areas to eat and meet, washer-dryer, walking distance from the city's light rail system, which takes you to the connection to the Airport, the U. of Utah and up and downtown to malls, arenas, Temple Square, Symphony Hall, the major arenas (e.g., where the Utah Jazz play) and exposition areas. And if you're driving, secure, monitored parking. Also within an easy walk of the fantastic SLC library (full access for travelers), a two minute walk from a 7 day/week full supermarket/department store combo (Smith's) open from 6 am to midnight -- and not much further to a wide complement of chic shopping (Trolley Square), interesting restaurants -- everything from major fast food chains to funky coffee shops (also with free WiFi) to organic vegetarian dining or a Brazilian restaurant with all the meat you can eat and 24 hour Mexican food. Plus nightclubs, live music and more. Close to every service a traveler might need. Even galleries, a large city park (Liberty Park) with a well known world-class aviary (Tracey Aviary) are within a foot-traveler's easy reach (and the owner can supply a bicycle to bring things even closer). I met several skiers at Camelot. And the rail system will get you to easy connections to many major ski resorts. I also met folks from four or five countries with a variety of interesting backgrounds. You have 24 hour access and an innovative self-check in and out system (though live-in part-time managers and full-time phone access to the owner are also provided). The owner (Arthur) has obviously put in a lot of time and thought into every detail of his business and enjoys being a host. He was at work on a number of improvements during my stay. Not to mention clean bathrooms and kitchen, fresh linen (draw and put out your own from the linen cabinet), multiple microwaves, local calls, ample fridge and freezer space, plus cookware. I could go on, but I marvel that people will spend 5-10 times more for a sterile motel room with none of the conviviality and personality of a place like Camelot..... ...if Salt Lake's on your itinerary (and it's an underrated destination and should be if it's not), you won't do better. 20) The room was clean and the bed was good. The kitchen, living room, and the bathroom was in good shape. I went to Salt Lake City to go skiing and the location was perfect. It is just two blocks from the bus station(bus to the ski resorts) and it is located in downtown Salt Lake City. It was easy to find by car, just few blocks from the interstate. Arthur the owner was very friendly and helpful . You could ask him about everything and he helped me. I will strongly recommend the place because of the location, good standard and it is inexpensive. 19) If you are a professional do not hesitate to stay at CAMELOT HOUSE (556 S 500 East) in Salt Lake City. When there I found the house occupants to consist of lawyers, professors, graduate students, business persons, and international travelers. I found it convenient to the City and County Courthouses, the elaborate City Library, and within walking distance of the TRAX station where you can board for a FREE ride within the Downtown Zone. It is also a short distance to the University of Utah and its academic and law libraries. The owner-manager Arthur is on-site, keeps the premises professionally cleaned, well monitored, and with house-rules so no one is disturbed by other tenants. It is an excellent facility for the bargain rates. 18) I recently had the pleasure of spending time at the Camelot rooming house in Salt Lake City, I was working on a project for Sarcos a medical and robots research group at the University of Utah. I live in California and travel a lot, so the idea of spending months in a hotel just wasn't what I wanted. I had never looked for a rooming house but knowing I was going to be near the University I thought I would just give it a try. While looking through craigslist.com I found a posting for the Camelot, I bounced a few e-mails back and forth with Arthur. After a few more phone calls I thought why not, so I moved in and I have to say it turned out better then I had hoped. The people were friendly the location could not have been better, within a few blocks there is just about everything you could want, shopping, restaurants, parks, light rail, a "GREAT" city library, and my favorite two excellent coffee bars. If you have never been Salt Lake like me the city is very walker and transit friendly, which makes the location of the Camelot excellent. I had driven a car out but could have done without it. That other stuff you might want to know Arthur the owner lives on site and is a very up front guy, it's the kind of place your mother would approve of. I would recommended this anyone needing to spend time in Salt Lake, I know that if he has space Arthur will rent rooms for a few days I think he is listed in the Hostel Guild. 17) Hey I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for being not only a great landlord, but also a great friend and a great role model. I will always remember you as someone who has a great business mind, and a great personality. You are awesome!! ...You always care about the well being of your tenants and that's very commendable. Thank you for looking out for my well being. 16) I love living at Camelot because it's location is great. I can walk to many of the area attractions like temple square, Trolley Square where there are young adult dances three times a week. It makes me feel like I am at home. The tenants, who live here, are great and fun to hang out with. There aren't any parties, which I like because sometimes I work nights and it's great that I can sleep and not get awaken during the night or early mornings. There are grocery stores and markets within a block of Camelot therefore making it easy to get groceries and food and whatever else you need to make a living here easy for you. Plus there isn't any smoking or drinking of alcohol here and so it's very clean and easy to breathe. It also smells better than a pair of old gym socks. The people who live here are very friendly. In fact, the other day I had the door open and a couple of people came by to see how I was doing. I feel we are like a big family. We don't fight or have disagreements. We all respect each other and each other's property. I just love living here. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for a caring environment. 15) Living here at the Camelot has been a great experience! Being away from home like I am, it's nice to have people around for company. Camelot is a nice clean place with nice, clean, respectful people! I have lived here for quite a while now and I really like it. It's in a good location and Camelot also has a lot to offer to it's tenants. Everyone here is respectful and clean and fun to be around. It's a very cool place for people that are going to school. It has a very cool lounge to hang out and chat with other tenants. This is a very clean and fun place to live and I highly recommend it! 14) Camelot is a great place to live in. It is convenient to many places and things -- a large supermarket, restaurants, shopping areas, movie theaters, the new city library, bus stops, and the Salt Lake City version of the trolley, TRAX, which goes directly to the University of Utah, is only two blocks away. The house is full of friendly people, who care about getting along and having a pleasant place to live. The most intriguing thing for me is the diversity of people here. We have residents From Africa, Peru, Brazil, Chile, and Mongolia! You can practice almost any language you might be studying, or have a discussion about the culture of Japan, or the Middle East. It's also safe, clean, and usually pretty quiet. The neighborhood is made up of people of all ages, even children. In addition, Salt Lake is one of the cleanest and friendliest places I have ever lived. I've been here since mid-December 2002, and think I made a good decision to be here. 13) Living at Camelot gives you a sense of security, and trust among the other residents. This comes From the screening process Arthur performs when interviewing a potential resident. One of the processes is to, introduce the potential resident to some of the present residents to see how they interact. When there is a good rapport between them he takes this as a good sign. I have enjoyed living at Camelot because of the interaction, and respect that is shown, and the class of people that live here. What constitutes acceptance here is being able to get along with, and respecting other residents, and their property. It makes you feel good about living here. 12) Hello Arthur, how have you been? I appreciate you renting me the room over at Camelot. Thanks for letting me move up to a larger room from the smaller room that I started out in. The prices are very competitive compared to other rentals around the area. It was nice to rent a room from someone with such high standards. Everyone was so friendly, and it was great that all common areas were well kept. Your house always felt comfortable. That was awesome when you installed the security cameras and extra lighting, I always felt like it was a safe place to stay. In a few months I may be moving back to the area for work. Hopefully, you will have a room open when I get back. Talk to you soon Aaron 11) Camelot Rooms are clean, safe, and an affordable solution to your housing needs. You will be pleasantly surprised to know that Camelot Rooms have Cable TV and High Speed Internet connection in each and every room. If you are looking for a clean and quiet situation and would like to share these good qualities with roommates who know that a safe environment is the best way to live, then I would encourage you to contact Arthur Morais at 688-6196 or 556 South 500 East Salt Lake City UT 10) When I first heard about the Avalon Apartments apartments, I thought it was too good to be true. I mean, $250.00 a month, I thought that there must have been something wrong with the apartments. I came down and looked through one of the finished apartments, and it was looking really nice. I was then directed to Arthur's office at Camelot (5th So. 5th E.), and got a look at what he did to fix up the place. Arthur told me that Avalon Apartments was going to look so much better. I couldn't believe it. I trusted him on what he said, and it looks better every day. There are so many advantages to living here in Avalon Apartments. It's just a short distance from Temple Square, not to mention just down the street from LDS Business College. Did I mention that the majority of the tenants here at Avalon Apartments are LDS? Also it's just a short walk from the singles wards for LDSBC. If you have any doubts, just come and look at the place, and you'll be convinced just like I was, that "This is the Place." 9) Falar como e viver em Avalon Apartments e muito facil, comecando com os Senhorios, que sao pessoas maravilhosas, muito educados, Sao muito queridos pelos inquilinos, e tratam todos da mesma forma, sem descriminacao alguma (raca, nacionalidade, bens,...). Resumindo: Melhor que isso, so 2 disso!!! 8) Avalon Apartments is exactly what I need in a place to stay - a calm, safe environment. The people are friendly, and we hang out and have Sunday dinners together. The apartments are kept reasonably clean. And most important, there's no major dramas - no neighbors throwing loud parties, no big arguments, no big messes, or any of the other problems I've experienced with apartments. 7) When I first got to Salt Lake City I was all by my self when it came to looking for an Apartment because the one I had waiting for me was not working out I was pleasantly surprised to find a landlord that takes good care of his tenants. I say that because I have had my share of Landlords but none like Arthur. His parents work at the Apartments on site and are there to fix something when it goes wrong. A big bonus is that you don't have to go to a coin laundry to get you clothes clean- you have them right there ready for uses at even 11PM at night. It is very competitive pricing and the location is wonderful. If you are going to Church or to Dance at Trolley Square you are within a walking distance. It is a great place to be. 6) Estoy muy agradecido de poder vivir en los apartamentos Avalon Apartments. 5) To whom it may concern: My name is Ben Adams and I am a college student at the University of Utah. The Avalon Apartments has definitely been a smart choice for me. For instance, I have my own washer and dryer so I don't have to fuss with the Laundromat. Also, it is close enough to walk downtown and to the U. Mostly, I have made friends with my roommates and other tenants without any problem. 4) When I first moved to Salt Lake City I had no friends, no family in the area. I moved here to start college as a massage therapist. Because I had nobody I turned to God and asked him to help me find friends and family that would support me like my immediate family does. When I found Avalon Apartments I knew that this was what God had intended. I was immediately welcomed into the arms of all the residents here. Everybody here has been there every time I need them and are so friendly. We are one big happy family. Arthur and his parents are very kind and loving people. You couldn't ask for better landlords. When you need something they are right there to help. When ever they see you they are quick to say hi, and always ask how things are going. They always seem to put a smile on my face. The apartments are great. They have everything that you need... and if there is something you do need, just ask and they will help you. Because of the rules of the house everything is kept clean at all times. Even if you are not the best at house keeping, your roommates help you to become that way. Every person has their own ways of doing things, but together we become a team to help each other and grow. I really don't think that I would pick to live any other place if I had a choice. The environment here is excellent. 3) I really enjoy living at Avalon Apartments apartments. It is great living among all these LDS people. I also have great roommates that I get to live with. They are cool and will help me out in anyway they can. This is why I like Avalon Apartments. Thanks 2) The full service rent concept you are developing is very impressive to me. I've never seen anything like it before, but feel it is a valuable asset to the community. I see it of particular value to college students coming from out of the country. There is so much value added service you are providing which would be difficult, if not impossible for some of these students to take advantage of outside of the setting you provide. Value added services such as personal computer with broadband access to the Internet, cable television, washer & dryer, maid service, telephone, furnished apartment - all make life so much more enjoyable, fun and easier especially on a student budget. I can't imagine Miguel trying to get some of these services until he has established some credit here in the US And then there is the added value of the student not having to be responsible for finding roommates, arguing over who's paid what portion of utilities, etc... - I think you have developed on a wonderful concept. Thank you for providing a great service at what I believe is a reasonable price. 1) I live in Richmond Virginia and discovered Avalon Apartments Rooms for Rent on the Internet while applying to LDS Business College. I was really impressed by the web site and the professional friendly assistance I received From Arthur Morais the owner. But as would any out of state researcher I wanted to know for myself if these rentals were as good as the ad said. Fortunately I have close friends that live in Salt Lake that were able to check out Avalon Apartments for me. They observed the rental and approved it for me. So if you are an out of stater having difficulties making a confident decision in finding a place to live please consider Avalon Apartments Rooms for Rent. Please feel free to contact me by e-mail (BuckeyBeaver@themail.com) for further information or confirmation regarding Avalon Apartments. |
